My Labor Experience .....

been waiting to be in the mood to re-cap my labor experience, so here it is. ATT: its gonna be a longggg entry.

Ok it was Jan 13, my bro's bday and also my 37th week checkup a Pusrawi Hosp. And oh btw i had a super bz weekend before that. 9th and 10th jan, me + hubby had 2 full days of antenatal classes. In between, had to rush back to Rawang on 9th jan for my kenduri doa selamat. 10th jan, AJL (ok it was in my agenda pun)

Back to Jan 13. Serious x leh tido that night. Because I kept telling zeff + my family.."oh rasenya i'll deliver in 37th weeks, sbb byk sgt jalan".. and my second wish, "and i want my baby lahir dalam 2,8kg".. :)

I had a feeling that Dr Asmah akan check if theres any opening ke ape that morning and straight i'll be transfered to labor room. But time checkup Dr Asmah takde check ape2, she said air ketuban cukup, and her next phrase was "see u in labor room", haha not see u next week or anything..

Agak frust sbb die tak check. So zeff decided to have a lunch + last minute shop at Pavi. Now this is serious, i dah dgr quite a few stories yg the mother after jalan2 kat Pavi kalau dah more than 37th weeks senang nak labor hahha.

Had lunch at Pizza Hut sbb saje nak makan pizza. I bought few stuff at Clinique, Dorothy Perkins and MAngo huhu. Sempat lagi tu. Then I wanted to cook spaghetti that nite, ajak hubby gi Mercato. But suddenly rase sakit perut but minor aje. So told zeff its ok no need to buy anything, we went back to our condo.

Sampai condo, lepak2 bergaya2 dgn hbag and wallet baru haha. Gi toilet, andddddd yesss, ade what we call "bloody show or Loss of mucus plug". It is of course one of the signs of labor. Excited sgt. Zeff sempat angkat kain, basuh pinggan while I calmly kemas bag haha tah hape2. Sbb x ade rase contraction langggsung. Call Dr Asmah, she said to go directly to labor room. Haiyaa tapi takde sakit pun.

So from hops Parking, jalan relax2 to level 2 and gi register kat counter cakap nak masuk labor room. Nurses pandang aku atas bawah, haha budak ni takde gaye nak bersalin pun. Ade la mamat mane siap brought a wheelchair. Terkekeh2 aku gelak but thats the procedure kene la duduk. Its ok.

Masuk labor room. Salin baju yg ok la aku still boleh except. DAh la baru je visit labor room ni time antenatal class 3 days before. Then Zeff called my family. DIorang otw nak dtg. Kate takyah lama lagi tp mama beriye sgt. Then midwife dtg nak check opening.. baru 1cm alaa ..

Send sms to few frens, bace nst, gelak2 dgn zeff. Midwife check baby's heartbeat and contractions. Die kate kalau bacaan for contraction tu exceed 25, sakit.. So ok la. Hubby monitored the chart, and die siap kate, ehh contraction u high la dah lebeh 60 , lebeh 70 pun ada. Tapi i still didnt feel anything.. haishh

Mama masuk labor room. Borak2 pastu zeff kate balik aje la dulu. Takut lama lagi. Mom said ok nanti dah 7cm opening pls call me.

11pm : Dr Asmah dtg check. Baru 1,5cm.

Tido la ape lagi. Then start rase contractions. But I have to admit before kawen, practically every month I had serious period pain so when i said tak rase contraction tuh bukan tak rase but my period pain lg teruk dr tu... And mase ni pun rase contractions mcm period pain but every 3-4 minutes.

2 am : Midwife dtg check. I siap cakap, rasenye dah bukak 3cm ni. Sbb normally for first baby, 1cm = 1hour. Tapi midwife kate u nye contraction cepat sgt ni. So die check.. tadaaaa "eh puan dah 7cm laa, kirenye puan ni tahan la sakit. Kalau nak amek epidural rasenye tak perlu la sbb ni boleh tahan lagi ni. But kalau nak painkiller ok. Tahan la sampai kene stitch nanti tp still rase sakit". So painkiller la jadinya. EVentho aku x nampak fungsinye.

Gile cepat dowhh ... zeff pun terkejut. Everything happened so quickly. Few midwives masuk bilik nak prepare for labor. They called Dr Asmah. She was at her house somewhere dkt Bukit Antarabangsa. MIdwife kate anything dont push yet. Eventho aku dapat rase baby nak terkeluar sgt dah. Time tu sakit but dah tak fikir ape dah. But not to extend sampai nak lompat2 katil ke ape.

3.15 am (kot) : Dr Asmah arrived. Midwife kate ok Lina nanti next contraction u push ye.. hehehe.. FIrst contractionnn tarik nafas dalammmm2, push dgn sekali nafas aje kalau boleh...Then waited for 2nd, 3rd and 4th contractions, eevrytime kene pushhh kuat2... baby dah selamat keluar.. alhamdulillah in few minutes baby Lea was placed on my chest, eyes wide open and rooting for a breast. I just could not believe that I had pushed out this beautiful 2,79kg baby girl.. She's just so beautiful and I will never forget that moment!

Et voilaaa... Alhmdulillahh termakbul all my wished, my Lea Aryanna is just like what i predicted.. lahir 2,79 (i said 2,8), born at 37th weeks. Probablu every woman would tell u different stories. But syukur, Al
lah mudahkan urusan semua. I had a smooth pregnancy takde sgt morning sickness + quick delivery.

Zeff was there to witness everyhting. Thanks darl. Now we are three!! U have another Lil'L to take care of.

Mommy and daddy love u so much Lea. Be a good girl honey. Can't wait to see u in those flowery dresses that mommy bought for u...
